The ORS Tendon Section was launched August 2016. The group will promote and provide an interactive forum for education, collaboration, professional development, and strengthen scientific exchange in the ORS membership and tendon research community.

This section represents over 50 ORS members from around the world including biologists, clinicians, engineers, orthopaedic surgeons, veterinarians, and more.

The first annual ORS Tendon Section Meeting will focus on discussions of the current status of research and promote the formation of multidisciplinary research teams that can push the field forward.

The meeting will feature speakers, Scott Rodeo, MD, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Hani Awad, PhD, University of Rochester Medical Center presenting on Current Strategies to Advance Tendon Treatment Options (e.g. stem cell therapies, biologics, tissue engineering, etc.).
