ORS Mentoring Program

Looking for a Mentor?

The Orthopaedic Research Society is committed to encouraging mentoring of young scientists. This web site links young investigators with established investigators willing to provide advice in specific areas of interest of relevance to the orthopaedic scientist in the following capacities:

  • Accepting occasional telephone calls or e-mails.
  • Confidentially reviewing grant proposals.
  • Confidentially reviewing manuscripts.
  • Host, for short periods of time (e.g., days to weeks), young scientists for mutually agreeable periods of time to teach specific techniques or approaches.
  • Offer formal fellowships for longer periods of time (e.g., 6-24 months).

You must be a member of the ORS to search for a mentor: member login.

If you are not a member, you can complete the membership application online at http://www.ors.org/Membership/Membership.asp.

We suggest users of this web site consult with public information available through Medline, PubMed, Grateful Med, and/or other search engines.

Individuals interested in research fellowships may also wish to visit the web site of the International Center for Orthopaedic Education ( http://www.icoe.aoassn.org) sponsored by the American Orthopaedic Association.
