AIRPORT / AIRLINESSpecial meeting discounts are available on United Airlines. Contact Experient (ITS), your personal travel agent, or directly the airline listed below. Seats are limited and flights fill quickly.
When you book and ticket 30 days or more prior to departure, you may save 10% off the lowest applicable published fares on the official airlines. United fares offer substantial savings and a Saturday night stay is not required.
To make your reservation by phone, call Experient (ITS) at 800-227-0484 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Central Time, Monday through Friday.
To book online travel go to www.travelport.net/registration. You will be asked to register. The Company Name is AAOS. The Pin Number is JHWVJR86. Please enter the information, as instructed, which will grant you access to book your flights on-line, anytime. Helpful hints: Once you are prompted to "Go To Travel port", you will be sent to our Welcome page. The New User ID is your email address (that you entered on the registration page). The Password is the password you provided on the registration page. For security measures, you will be asked to change your password. Once you have completed these tasks you are authorized to book air travel. The service fee is $15.00. ITS will append any discount related to your meeting, as applicable. To return to the site in the future, simply go to www.travelport.net, call the airlines directly, or your personal travel agent.

GR0UND TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
Airport Shuttle
Cloud 9 Shuttle service (800-9-CLOUD or 800-974-8885) offers daily shuttle service from San Diego International Airport to downtown San Diego from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm. Shuttle service is available at the Transportation Plazas across from Terminals 1 and 2, and curbside at the Commuter Terminal. Lift-equipped vehicles are available on advance request for passengers with disabilities. A one-way fare to downtown San Diego is approximately $11.25. Receive $2.00 discount by making your reservation online.
Hotel Shuttle
AAOS shuttle buses will provide transportation from hotels to the San Diego Convention Center starting Tuesday, February 13 at 1:00 PM. Hotels closest to the Convention Center will not have shuttle service.
Parking
The San Diego Convention Center is located at 111 W. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. On-site private vehicle parking is available in the Convention Center's underground parking garage. The cost is $8 per vehicle per day for Convention Center events, $10 during other events. Off-site parking is available at numerous nearby locations.
Public Transportation
The San Diego region is full of places to go and ways to get there. Buses, trains and trolleys criss-cross the region, making travel accessible and economical for commuters. One-way fares range from $1.50 to $3.00 one-way. Taxi Service
Taxicab stands are located at the airport, most hotels, attractions and shopping centers. Your fare will be displayed on the meter and will include a flag drop charge plus a per-mile and/or a per-hour charge. A typical taxi fare from the airport to downtown would range from $8.00 - $10.00 dollars. The meter should start at $2.20 for the first 1/10 mile (Flag Drop) and then increase $2.30 for every additional mile, or $19.00 per hour waiting time. Wheelchair Accessible transportation (shoulder seat belt, wheelchair fasteners, ramp equipped) can be arranged by calling 800-974-8885.
Rental Cars
ORS and AAOS have negotiated special rates for rental cars during the meeting. Car reservations can be made via the Experient (ITS) website, your travel agent, or direct with the rental car companies. Call the numbers listed below and mention the discount code listed.
