Abstract Acceptance

November 23, 2009 - E-mail notification of general acceptance were sent to the presenting and corresponding authors.
December 7, 2009 - Detailed acceptance (poster, podium, NIRA finalist) were sent to the presenting and corresponding authors.
December 11, 2009 - was the deadline to withdraw an abstract; deadline to submit an edited abstract.

ORS Embargo Policy
Authors and media are required to abide by the embargo policies governing the Annual Meeting of the ORS. The embargo policy states that coverage of abstracts being presented at the Annual Meeting is strictly prohibited until the start time of the presentation or the beginning of the media briefing containing the research, whichever comes first. The embargo on poster presentations lifts when the first poster session containing the poster opens for viewing. Content that may be pre-published online in advance of print publication is still subject to the ORS embargo policy.

Continuing Medical Education Credit
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Research Society. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons designates this educational activity for 22.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Physicians wanting to claim CME credit from the 56th Annual Meeting of the ORS must fill out the CME Claim Form and fax completed form to the ORS office at 847-823-4921 by March 31, 2010. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Planning on attending the AAOS? NEW this year
You must obtain an ORS/AAOS badge. The ORS/AAOS badge will be provided at the ORS Registration desks located on Level 2; above Hall H. The ORS/AAOS badge will allow you to attend the AAOS meeting on Tuesday, March 9 and Wednesday, March 10 and include sessions/symposium that do not require a separate registration, as well as the exhibit hall on Wednesday. You must visit the ORS registration desk before Wednesday.
