Meeting Information and Schedule

Annual Meeting Location
The 56th Annual Meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Society will be held at the Morial Convention Center, Hall H in New Orleans, Louisiana, Saturday, March 6 - Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

The ORS/AAOS Co-Programming Day will take place in the afternoon on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

Dear Fellow ORS Members, Colleagues, and Guests,

On behalf of the Orthopaedic Research Society, I am extremely pleased to invite you to attend the 56th Annual Meeting of the ORS, to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, from Saturday, March 6 through Tuesday, March, 9, 2010.   New Orleans is an exhilarating city full of life, character, unique flare, and illustrious history.  Its attractions, such as the French Quarter and the Garden District, are renowned the world over.  And its trademark southern hospitality combined with its flavorful cuisine and exciting nightlife, make New Orleans an irresistible destination.  The renovated New Orleans Morial Convention Center that will host the ORS meeting is located upriver from Canal Street, the city’s main thoroughfare, on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River.

The ORS Annual Meeting continues to be an extraordinary conference enabling members and non-members to bring new scientific discoveries to a forum for open discussion and debate. There is no other society that comprehensively integrates engineering and biological research on all cells, tissues and organs of the musculoskeletal system in an environment in which these new discoveries can be translated to the clinical environment.  This is the most important activity of our Society.  The Program Committee, Topic Chairs, and more than 200 volunteer abstract reviewers are working very hard to put together a program that will help to bring us up to date on the best, late-breaking research in our field.

In addition, our program will showcase many educational symposia and workshops, industry-related events, and other activities that have become a hallmark in our Society’s emphasis on the importance of training and mentoring of orthopaedic residents, graduate students and
post-docs.

We thank you for your continuing support of the ORS, and we look forward to seeing you in New Orleans in March of 2010.

Sincerely,

Regis J. O'Keefe, MD, PhD
President
Orthopaedic Research Society
