Looking for the right mentor?
Looking for a right mentor? This year ORS will offer a Mentor Match Program. Interested mentees (Students, Post-docs, Early Career Investigators) will be matched with mentors to meet one-on-one during the annual meeting. As a new investigator you might have questions regarding your career aspirations or balancing your career and personal life. This is a perfect opportunity to obtain answers to many of your question and meet very successful established researchers.
Expectations of Mentor; Mentor will be expected to be in contact with the assigned Mentee via either phone or email. Then, at the annual meeting, Mentors will arrange a meeting with Mentees perhaps over coffee/tea or a meal. Mentors will follow-up with Mentees and be willing to report back to ORS New Investigator Mentoring Committee.
Expectations of Mentee; Mentees are not guaranteed a Mentor Match. If a match is found, Mentees are expected be in contact with assigned Mentor vie either phone or email. Then, at the annual meeting, to meet with Mentor and complete evaluation form provided by ORS.
There is no fee for this program. However, pre-registration is required.
