Hosted by the ORS Media Relations and Communications Committee, the goal of the ORS Video Outreach Competition is to encourage orthopaedic researchers to educate the public and media about significant musculoskeletal research topics in very innovative, accessible, understandable and fun ways.

The deadline to submit a video is November 1, 2017.

First Place:
Orthopaedic Research from Bench to Patient

Third Place:
Explaining Orthopaedic Research

Make a video not to exceed three minutes or 2 GB in length

Translate complex science using creative methods and easy-to-understand concepts

Please do not include cadaveric or animal testing without the approval of the ORS Media Relations and Communications Committee

Record the video in a format that is YouTube compatible, e.g. MP4

Have institutional approval for the research presented

Complete the Video Contest Waiver and upload your video

Videos promoting products/services or having any commercial bias are not eligible and will not be considered

Entries for the Video Outreach Competition must be submitted by a current ORS member in order to be eligible to receive an award.

ORS members will vote to determine the first, second and third place winners (limited to one vote per member).

Award winners will be acknowledged at the ORS 2018 Annual Meeting. Winners will also receive honorariums.

First Place: $1,000.00 honorarium plus First Place trophy

Second Place: $600.00 honorarium plus Second Place trophy

Third Place: $400.00 honorarium plus Third Place trophy
