Presentations are strictly limited to 10 minutes: 7-minute talk followed by 3-minute discussion.
The presenting author may and is encouraged to bring an interpreter (which can be a co-author or supervisor who will register and pay the appropriate registration fee) to assist them during the question and answer period following the podium presentation.
Spotlight Sessions
Spotlight speaker presentation is 25 minutes with 5-minute discussion. Papers in spotlight sessions are strictly limited to 10 minutes: 7-minute talk followed by 3-minute discussion.
NIRA Presentations
NIRA presentations are strictly limited to 6 minutes: 5-minute talk followed by 1-minute discussion. Material presented must reflect the material summarized in your submitted abstract.

ePoster Sessions
The ePoster presentations are strictly limited to 3 minutes. A moderator will keep the presentations on schedule. Questions will be held until the completion of all the presentations.
Presenters should plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of the session and be seated in the first or second rows.
ePoster presenters (presenting authors) will receive an email from Morressier, the digital poster vendor for the ORS, in December with information on submitting your digital poster.
Please use the link provided in the email from Morressier to upload your digital poster. Uploading your digital poster Onsite WILL NOT to possible.

Speakers will be given allotted time to speak from the organizer.
Speaker Ready Room
It is extremely important that all speakers visit the Speaker Ready Room to load and review their presentation 24 hours before your presentation. The projectors for the ORS 2019 Annual Meeting will be 16:9.

Audio Visual Guidelines for Speakers
Presenting authors will receive an e-mail in late December or early January from PSAV, the official AV vendor, with information for authors to upload your presentation before the meeting.

Speaker Disclosure Slide
The ACCME is requiring podium presenters to include their mandatory financial disclosure on the first slide of their PowerPoint presentation for every author. When you are preparing your presentation, please be sure to include this information.

Within the past 12 months served on a speakers bureau/paid honorarium to present by any pharmaceutical, biomaterial or orthopaedic product or device company
Paid employee for any pharmaceutical, biomaterial or orthopaedic product or device or equipment company, or supplier
Paid consultant for any pharmaceutical, biomaterial or orthopaedic product or device or equipment, company, or supplier
Unpaid consultant for any pharmaceutical, biomaterial or orthopaedic product or device or equipment company, or supplier
Own stock or stock options in any pharmaceutical, biomaterial or orthopaedic product or device or equipment company, or supplier (excluding mutual funds)
Receive research or institutional support as a principal investigator from any pharmaceutical, biomaterial or orthopaedic product or device or equipment company, or supplier

- Introduce the speakers, ensure timeliness, and facilitate discussion.
- Session Papers are strictly limited to 10 minutes, 7-minute talks followed by 3-minute discussion.
- Spotlight Sessions: The Spotlight talk is limited to 25 minutes with a 5-minute discussion. The three paper presentations are strictly limited to 10 minutes: 7-minute talk followed by 3-minute discussion. Please refer to the program book for the schedule time of the spotlight speaker. Spotlight talks are scheduled either at the beginning or end of the session.
- NIRA Presentations are strictly limited to 6 minutes, 5-minute talks followed by 1-minute discussion.
- ePoster presentations are strictly limited to 3 minutes. It will be a digital presentation of a poster. Questions are to be held until the completion of all presentations.
- Adhere to the scheduled paper times so that attendees may switch from one session to another without missing a paper.
- Coordinate questions and answers. Moderators should have questions prepared to ask in case there are no questions from the audience. Once questions begin from the floor, the moderator should refrain from asking their questions.
- Conflict of Interest: Moderators are responsible for addressing and resolving conflict of interest. Please refer to the Conflict of Interest form on the moderator table in the session room. Complete the form and leave at the head table at the end of the session. If there were no conflicts, please indicate “no conflicts” on the form.
- Make sure the speaker gives a verbal disclosure at the beginning of the talk.
- Commercial Bias: Moderators are responsible for “keeping the presentations balanced.”
- When a company’s product is mentioned, we ask that the moderator note other products generally acceptable for the procedure discussed if the speaker does not. It would also be appropriate to announce the speaker’s documentation of the potential conflict as noted in the disclosure index listed on the ORS Annual Meeting website or ask the faculty speaker directly if such a conflict exits.
- No photography, video, audio recording or reproduction of any kind may be used during any portion of the ORS Annual Meeting. The ORS reserves all of its rights to such materials, and commercial recording or reproduction is specifically prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, digital and film photography, videography, cellular phones, and other image or audio recording devices. Please be sure the attendees in your session adhere to this policy.
- The program book will be available on the ORS website January 18, 2019. Abstracts will be available to download from the online abstract search January 18, 2019.
- NEW – Moderators will identify 2-3 posters to promote at the end of the session related to the papers/topics in the session. Please select posters from either Poster Session1 or Poster Session 2 depending on the day of your presentation. Be sure to stop by the ORS Speaker Ready Room several hours prior to the session you are moderating to load the slide. The list of posters will be available to download from the ORS website on January 18, 2019. Use the Moderator Poster Slide Template below.

Format
Posters must reflect the material summarized in your abstract.
Poster size is 45 inches horizontal by 45 inches vertical. The overall poster board is 96” horizontal x 48” vertical with two posters on each side of the board. Details and diagram can be found on the 2019 Poster Instructions.
Each board will be identified by a number corresponding to the number of the poster listed in the Program Book and on the mobile app.

Posters will be displayed in Exhibit Hall 4-5 of the Austin Convention Center.

Poster Printing Service
ORS will offer a Poster Printing Service through a third-party, Learner’s Digest International (LDI). POSTER presenting (presenting authors) will receive an e-mail in December from LDI with information on the ORS Poster Printing Services. Poster presenters wanting to take advantage of this service will be able to pick up their poster upon arrival to the Austin Convention Center and do not have to travel with their poster.

Poster Presenter Hours
Authors are required to stand at their poster to answer questions during the specified time indicated below. Authors may stand at their poster during additional times if they wish.

Poster Presenter Ribbons: Poster Presenter Ribbons will be on tables throughout the poster hall. The presenting author should wear this ribbon during the meeting and specifically during the poster sessions for easy identification. You may also pick up a ribbon at the registration counters.
Poster Pushpins: Pushpins for hanging posters will be available on the tables throughout the hall.
Poster Tube Storage: Labels to mark your empty poster tube are available at the end of the poster aisles throughout the hall. Mark the tubes with your poster number and your name. Place the empty tube in the bin next to the table. The bins will be returned at the beginning of the poster session tear down.
