The Orthopaedic Research Society was thrilled to host the first annual ORS Turkey Trot: A Virtual 5K Race to Research. This event was designed to keep the world moving and make a difference for those impacted by musculoskeletal disorders. Participants from around the globe were encouraged to join us to walk, run, or roll between Sunday, November 19, 2023, and Sunday, November 26, 2023, from any location to raise funds for orthopaedic research.
ORS Turkey Trot 2023 Winners
Congratulations to Zac Seidel who completed the 5K run in 20:57, and to Andrew Queen who completed the walk in 53:00. Both were members of the Granata Gobblers Team from Granata Biomechanics Lab in Blacksburg, VA. The team was the largest to participate in the event, with 32 members who moved a total of 99.2 miles.
Exciting prizes and bragging rights will be awarded to the successful individuals and teams that complete the race in the best time.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the inaugural ORS Turkey Trot Virtual 5K Race to Research. Participants helped raise $1,900 to go towards research to help those affected by musculoskeletal issues.
