Kick off the Annual Meeting right as we socialize with new and old friends to celebrate another year of the ORS. This event is open to all Annual Meeting attendees, new and old. The event will take place Friday, February 2, from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the Hyatt Beacon Ballroom.

After the Kick-Off Event, come for a community building reception for ORS attendees from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Underrepresented in STEM includes Native American, Black or African American, Hispanic or LatinX, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islanders, but the event is open to all.
The event will take place at the Hyatt Seaview Rotunda, 200 S. Pine Ave. Please register in advance for the reception HERE.
ORS Undergraduate Poster Networking Reception

A networking opportunity for undergraduate students to connect with each other and with faculty looking to recruit graduate students. Undergraduate students with poster presentations are encouraged to bring their posters to hang up and present at the reception. Food and drinks will be available. All undergraduate students and faculty members recruiting graduate students are welcome to attend.

70th Anniversary After Party

To commemorate 70 Years of Advancing Research to Keep the World Moving, the ORS invites attendees to join the 70th Anniversary After Party. This event will be held at the Westin Long Beach Hotel, just a short 7-minute walk from the Annual Meeting Convention Center. Guests can enjoy a live DJ, dancing, and karaoke. There will also be a variety of treats and fun activities, such as Giant Jenga, Connect Four, and cornhole.
First 500 attendees to arrive gets a drink ticket.
Leadership Reception

ORS would like to express its appreciation to members who have served in a leadership role within the society over the last year. The ORS Board of Directors, Society Partners, Committee and Section Chairs, Editors, and other Key Stakeholders are invited to this networking event as we show appreciation for their contributions to the society.
