About the Conference
Tendon research is by its nature multidisciplinary, typified by unique collaborations between clinicians, engineers, and biologists. This conference goal is to bring thought leaders and community members from across disciplines to inspire important discussions in tendon investigation needs and establish guidelines and consensus in the field.
This overarching goal is to identify areas of unmet need, improve rigor and reproducibility of research, to share these findings to improve human health. The primary topic areas for the conference are 1) clinical unmet needs and clinical research to guide future clinical and basic/translation research, 2) assessments of pain as a diagnostic, understanding the mechanistic basis of pain systemically and locally and targeting pain with preventatives and therapeutic strategies, and 3) develop consensus and guidelines on multiomics in tendon research, and 4) current research and including and beyond the identified priority areas.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts.
Clinical Sessions will provide examples of clinical research that are driving improved clinical outcomes for patients. This session will incorporate clinical research including evidence based physical therapy, personalized medicine and surgical research and innovation.

Multiomics Sessions will include an introduction to the current state of tendon omics and the need for community consensus and efforts. Of particular interest is the increasing abundance of omics data which is descriptive and often lacks the next steps to drive the next generation of preventatives and therapeutics, how the data is comparable between investigations, and strategies to combine multiomics approaches. A consensus statement on the future of tendon omics data including unmet needs and guidelines will follow this conference.
