About the Workshop
The Herbert Fleisch Workshop (March 17 – 19, 2019, Brugge, Belgium) is designed to bring together excellent international investigators and young and mid-career scientists working in bone and cartilage research, for vigorous data discussion and networking. Students, postdocs, and early stage PIs are therefore particularly encouraged to submit an abstract. All aspects of bone biology, basic and applied, are welcomed.
Funding
ORS will sponsor one Travel Grant for up to $1,000 based on scientific merit.
Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must be a current ORS Associate Member (student/trainee), and the first and presenting author of the abstract.
Grant
One ORS Travel Grant of $1,000 will be awarded, based upon acceptance of your abstract. The awardee will be required to attend the Herbert Fleisch Workshop and present their research as an oral or poster presentation as determined by the Fleisch Workshop organizers. Note: The ORS Travel Grant is expected to help cover the cost of travel to the workshop, but recipients are expected to make their own arrangements for registration, flights, and accommodations.
Application
All accepted abstracts submitted by an ORS Associate Member and accepted, will automatically be considered for the ORS Travel Grant. Final review and selection of the recipient will be overseen by the ORS Awards & Recognition Committee. The ORS Travel Grant recipient will be notified by January 21, 2019.
