This full day ORS Ambassadors regional symposium Orthopaedic Research from Bench to Bedside will bring together investigators at all career stages to present their work and the unique exchange of scientific information through scientific sessions and networking.

Focus will be on networking between young investigators and established musculoskeletal scientists to facilitate learning and the exchange of ideas.

Attendees will include ORS members and non-members from around the Midwest and Great Lakes regions, but all are encouraged to attend.

The symposium program will include:

  • Two 2 hour long scientific sessions about preclinical and human subject research
  • Presentations from invited keynote speakers
  • Short talk presentations from selected abstracts
  • Networking breaks
  • Poster Session

The symposium will begin at 7:30 AM with registration/set up and conclude at 5:30 PM with the announcement of the symposium award recipients.  All sessions, lunch, poster session, and networking will take place in the Searle Conference Center. 

All poster presenters will be considered for symposium awards in categories of Post-Doc/Fellow/Trainee and Student.

Please be sure to download a copy of the final program agenda to your mobile device or print a copy. There will be limited printed copies available onsite.

Registration will be located at the 5th floor of the Searle Conference Center.

Please plan to stop by the registration table located in the Billings-Herrick Center, Room 531, to pick up your symposium name badge prior to setting up your poster.

Posters will be located in the Billings-Herrick Center. Poster set up will take place from 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM.

Each board will be identified by a number corresponding to the poster number assigned. There will push pins available to hang your poster.

The Poster Session will coincide with lunch and will take place from 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM.  All presenting authors will be required to stand by their posters from 12:15 PM – 1:00 PM.

Your poster will remain up the entire symposium. All presenters will be encouraged to take down their posters at the end of the day.

Poster Size: 45 inches horizontal by 45 inches vertical. The overall poster board is approximately 96” horizontal x 48” vertical with two posters on each side of the board.

  • Your presentation slide size is 16 x 9.
  • All short talk podium presenters will be considered for symposium awards in categories of Post-Doc/Fellow/Trainee and Student.
  • Please be sure to download a copy of the final program agenda to your mobile device or print a copy. There will be limited printed copies available onsite.
  • Registration will be located at the 5th floor of the Searle Conference Center. Please plan to stop by the registration desk located in the Billings-Herrick Center, Room 531, to pick up your symposium name badge prior to loading your talk.
  • Presentations are limited to 10 minutes: 8 minutes followed by a 2 minute discussion.
  • Please plan to bring your presentation loaded on a US/flash drive.
  • You will check in with the registration table in room 531 and load your talk between 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM.

All registered attendees are invited to join us for a networking reception Sunday evening! There is parking located one block away from the reception venue.
