The ORS Orthopaedic Implants Research Section is pleased to announce a Travel Scholarship to support student attendance at the upcoming ORS 2026 Annual Meeting, taking place March 27 – 31, 2026 in Charlotte, NC. This award is intended to help offset travel costs for students presenting research relevant to orthopaedic implants.

Award Amount

Up to $2,000 to be used for housing, airfare, and registration fees.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a student who is the presenting author of an ORS 2026 abstract.
  • Both the student and their PI must be current members of the ORS Orthopeadic Implants Research Section.
  • Funds must be used for travel-related expenses to the ORS 2026 Annual Meeting.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Scientific merit of the submitted abstract.
  • Demonstrated need for travel support.

Application Requirements

  • Completed Application Form.
  • Copy of the submitted ORS abstract.
  • Personal Statement (max 500 words) addressing a summary of your research and its significance, how attending the ORS 2026 Annual Meeting will benefit your career and training, and justification of financial need.
