ORS ISFR: Leading to Believing
Impact Research 2018 Video Submission

The ORS International Section of Fracture Repair (ORS ISFR) invites you to participate in the Leading to Believing Impact Research 2018 Video Submission. 

Often the shortcomings of clinical and scientific findings include not making a difference to practice or making an impression on the blue print of government mandates. Many times pre-planning a Knowledge Translation Assessment and incorporating this into the protocol can enforce the successful implementation of clinical/basic science research tips.

Translating Complex Science to the Community, Patients, and Policy Makers

Video Submission Deadline: Thursday, December 21, 2017

Improve Access – providing faster access to the right care

Connect Services – delivering better coordinated and integrated care in the community, closer to home

Support people and patients – providing the education, information and transparency they need to make the right decisions about their health

Protect our universal public health care system – making decisions based on value and quality, to sustain the system for generations to come

Teams are required to be members of the ORS ISFR Section and be registered to attend the ORS 2018 Annual Meeting and ORS ISFR Scientific Meeting for featuring the video at the meeting or conference.

The ‘video’ award winners will be featured at both the ORS ISFR Scientific Meeting and the ORS ISFR 2018 Biennial Conference.

The registration fee for the Biennial Conference in Kyoto, Japan will be waived.

Videos promoting products/services or having any commercial bias are not eligible and will not be considered or reviewed.

Author Eligibility
At least one author must be an ORS and ORS ISFR member in good standing at the time of the ORS 2018 Annual Meeting in order to be eligible to receive an award.

Do Not include cadaveric or animal testing without the approval of the ORS ISFR Education Initiatives Committee

Do record the video in a format that is YouTube compatible, e.g. MP4

Do Not exceed three (3) minutes or 2 GB in length for your video

Do have institutional approval for the research presented

Do complete the Video Contest Form and upload your video

Videos will be reviewed by the ORS ISFR Education Initiatives Committee and the winning videos selected will be featured at both the ORS ISFR Scientific Meeting in New Orleans (March 9, 2018) and the ORS ISFR Biennial Conference held in Kyoto, Japan (November 2018).

How to Upload your Video

FIRST, Complete the ORS ISFR online video submission application form, which includes a required waiver and permission that must acknowledged on the form.

Upload your video into the ORS ISFR Leading to Believing Video Submission folder by Thursday, December 21, 2017.
