As we draw closer to the 2017 Annual Meeting, the ORS would like to remind you about our upcoming ORS Silent Auction, benefiting ORS Research Grants. This year brings new excitement to the third annual installment of this popular event!
During the Annual Meeting, we will host an online Silent Auction with great opportunities to bid on some wonderful items. Be sure to watch the mobile app and check in at the ORS booth in the Exhibit Hall to monitor your bids, which will be open for the duration of the meeting. Then, don’t forget to pick up your prize at the conclusion of the auction on Wednesday. 100% of the funds raised through our auction go toward research grants including the ORS/OREF Post-Doctoral Fellowship ($50,000), the ORS/OREF Resident Research Grant ($5,000), travel grants, and other meritorious awards for excellence!
To make our auction a success, we need your help in donating items of interest to raise money for this worthwhile cause. These are some examples of items we have generously received in the past that have supported our mission to promote research grants within the ORS:
- Sports tickets and memorabilia
- Speakers or headphones
- Apple watch or iPad
- Weekend at vacation home
- Books
