Summer research internships play a vital role in educating the next generation of researchers by fostering an interest in the subject and preparing students for graduate training. These programs offer undergraduate students the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors on research projects.  Summer research internships are primarily designed for students who wish to learn more about the graduate or medical school experience.

The ORS New Investigator Mentoring Committee has cultivated a list of opportunities for undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in orthopaedic research. The criteria and application details differ for each institution, so please use the appropriate links for detailed information about each opportunity.

This list of summer research internship opportunities is provided only as information.  Interested students should contact the individual institutions listed for specific information regarding their eligibility for each internship as the ORS does not manage or influence any decisions associated with these internship opportunities.
